I recently got some books to get better intellectual grounding in African perspectives. I admit I’ve only done a quick skim but it does seem they’re mostly restating concepts my Western sources (e.g., Henrich) have already identified, e.g., holistic vs. analytic thought, community vs. individualism, etc.
That said, I’m hesitant to make any judgements until I’ve read these books as they were all written between the 80s and the aughts.
So, we’ll see…
